Upcoming Events:
- MAY 8, 2021 — WORLD BONSAI DAY – D&L Nursery in Ocala, Florida will be holding an all day event. The event starts at 9am.
- MAY 15th – OUR NEXT MEETING – Topic: Wiring Bonsai Trees. Bring your own tree(s) for wiring – or watch another member wire their tree.
- MAY 28-30th – BSF (Bonsai Society of Florida) Convention – Register asap as some Workshops were filling up fast and many may already be closed. Consider serving as a volunteer. Clubs receive money for volunteer hours worked by their members. A Volunteer Form is available on line. Don’t hesitate to call Mark, our Treasurer and BSF Trustee with questions. Volunteers are also needed on the 27th to help with set up. Only registered
individuals may participate in Workshops and observe Workshops and Demonstrations. The Exhibit and Vendor Areas are open to the public, so if you are not able to attend the Convention, stop by and visit these areas. - JUNE 19th – OUR MEETING – Topic: Ficus Tree Care and Maintenance. Bring your own tree(s) to work on. If you don’t have one, learn from watching other members work on their trees.
- JULY 17th – OUR MEETING and Jason’s ALL DAY SUMMER FESTIVAL – Session 1 (of 3) – Pottery Class. Fee required for class which will be taught by our member Rob Addonizio.
- AUGUST 21st – OUR MEETING – Event: Pottery Class – Session 2
- SEPT 11 &12th – US NATIONAL BONSAI EXHIBITION – ROCHESTER, NY
- SEPT 18th – OUR MEETING – Event: Pottery Class – Session 3. In addition to planting in the newly created pottery, our member, Ryan Frye will be teaching us about Bonsai companion plants.
- OCT 16th – OUR MEETING AND Jason’s ALL DAY AUCTION EVENT
- NOV 13th – BONSAI SOCIETY OF BREVARD’S ALL DAY AUCTION AND PICNIC
- NOV 20th – OUR MEETING – Topic: Juniper Care and Maintenance. Bring your own tree(s) to work on or watch other member work on their tree(s).
- DEC 4 &5th – WINTER SILHOUETTE BONSAI SHOW – KANNAPOLIS, NC
- DEC 18th – OUR CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY PARTY – Held at Jason’s. Details to follow at a later date.
- JAN 15, 2022 OUR MEETING – Topic: The Art of Display – in preparation for our own Joy of Bonsai to be held in February.
- FEB 2022 – JOY OF BONSAI – Schley’s Bonsai and Supplies – DATE(S) TBA – Artists TBA
