Open in new tab December Holiday Party Meeting:
Will be held during our regular meeting date – December 19th. It will begin at 11am. Food will be served at noon. Jason is providing a turkey. Members are requested to bring a dish, dessert, condiments, soft drinks/coffee/tea. Families are welcome. Members are requested to contact MaryLou DeVane as to how many will be in attendance with you and what you will be bringing. Her telephone number is: 386-237-7712.
COVID-19 restrictions will be maintained. Members are required to wear a mask. Hand sanitizer will be available. Food will be served by a few of our members (rather than as in the past, when we served ourselves). The server will be wearing gloves in addition to masks. Social distancing will be maintained.
A bonsai related white elephant gift “exchange” will be held for interested members. The wrapped gift should cost $15.00-$20.00. We had a lot of fun last year and I anticipate even more fun this year! A Bonsai White Elephant Gift Exchange is the placing of all gift wrapped bonsai related gifts on a table. The first person to take a gift choses which gift they want. It is then opened so that everyone can see what it is. The second person can then chose a gift from the table OR the gift the first person took. Etc, Etc. Etc. (The person from whom the gift was taken gets to chose another gift – either from the table or from someone else.). All of the gift exchange rules will be discussed before the gift exchange begins.
